The Problem

Savyu was invisible on Google.

The site had serious technical debt — broken links, missing metadata, and redirect chains were preventing Google from properly indexing pages.

Meanwhile, competitors like DiningCity and TableCheck owned the first page of results. Savyu didn't show up at all.

The goal: fix the foundation, then build enough authority to compete.

Phase 1

Technical Audit

Using Screaming Frog, I crawled the entire site to simulate how Google sees it — revealing every broken link, redirect chain, and missing tag.

Crawl

Simulated Googlebot to discover every page and resource on the domain.

Diagnose

Flagged 40+ broken links, redirect chains, and pages with missing metadata.

Fix & Resubmit

Resolved all issues and submitted a clean sitemap to Google Search Console.

Competitor Gap Analysis

With SEMrush, I mapped what competitors rank for that Savyu doesn't — filtering for keywords that are actually winnable.

Scan

Analyzed keyword profiles of DiningCity, TableCheck, and other table reservation platforms.

Filter

Narrowed to keywords with difficulty under 40% and monthly volume above 1,000.

Target

Selected 10 high-intent gap keywords to build a content strategy around.

Authority Building

Fixing technical issues and targeting keywords isn't enough if Google doesn't recognize you as a legitimate brand. I launched a Digital PR campaign to build that trust.

Wikipedia Page

Created a neutral, citation-backed Wikipedia entry for Savyu — providing a dofollow backlink from a DA 98 domain and enabling Google Knowledge Panels.

Social Signals

Optimized all social profiles to build a cohesive brand presence — reinforcing Savyu's legitimacy signals across every platform Google checks.

Why this matters: Google's Knowledge Graph uses entity recognition to verify brands. A Wikipedia presence is the strongest signal you can send — it unlocks rich search results and builds trust faster than any other off-page tactic.
